Called to Serve

I am beyond words. I have the wonderful opportunity to serve 2 years as a representative for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Denmark Copenhagen speaking Danish. Not only is this a foreign mission and a new language (which I dreamed of having) it was also my first choice. When submitting my mission papers I did not say "my first choice is Denmark", I truly believe that the Lord heard my prayers and pleas, not always does what we ask come true, but some times it does. My family prayed that it would be a safe mission (especially my mom) and we got one of the safest missions in the world.

I again, can't express how grateful I am to have this opportunity. I can't wait to spread the Gospel to where my family first emigrated from. My great great great grandfather wrote a book about his travels from Denmark to the Americas for the Church. As he had the revelation at the time, in his book he wrote: "as time goes on many members of the family will have opportunity to visit this land of their forefathers; and perhaps preach the gospel there, or seek further information regarding genealogy." I know the Apostles are inspired. They make decisions where they knew very little about my genealogy and my desires, yet gave me a mission that means so much to me through the inspiration and Spirit of the Lord.
