Den Lille Pigehær

Skulking down the weathered roads of Aalborg, rain pouring, bikes whirring, people denying. Denying what you may ask, denying our purpose here, denying our message, but most importantly denying that we, ourselves, are covered head to toe in an unsettling mist, completely and utterly drenched. Does that stop us? Will that ever stop us? No, because the message we carry, the joy we can bring, it’s too important to withhold others from. Occasionally do we question, do we rethink, maybe. That is simply a part of life, constant reflection, but somehow, someway, we come to the rapid conclusion, that burst of strength to keep pressing forward, because of what we have - what we want to share. Without a doubt, every time, the Lord lifts our burdens, that fear, those questions, from our shoulders.  Split Up Taking the train, I never looked back. I never looked back because I saw a glimpse of the future. A glimpse into a day that would change my life forever… Ældste Brown, riding next to me, sl

Han er altid hos os

This week was great! A bunch of days where we just went out and did the work, we have a few new potential friends, but not a whole bunch of stuff! MLC Splits I had to go on splits with the Aalborg Elders because my companion had to go down to MLC, some training, and it was great. We worked hard, we bought candy and granola for a ridiculously cheap price, I learned some weird Danish phrases that they use in Nordjylansk, we had an awesome dinner appointment with a great family, and then I went back to Frederikshavn. Strandby We went up to Strandby, which is where the Boat church and the beautiful havn is from. We got a return meeting with one of the people over there. She was really open to hear our message, and we got her again, by the last door we knocked, just before we were about to head home. She had two kids, her husband is a fisher, and she gladly accepted a Mormons Bog and an appointment to come back. A pretty successful day, especially after none of the people we went there

Provo det

This one will be a bit shorter, but hopefully still a good one. This week has been a fantastic week, like always out here serving the Lord. Not a ton happened, we got burned a few times (like people didn’t meet with us… writing these emails I understand how confused my non-member friends could be with all this random weird stuff like “district”, “splits”, etc… hahah), I went on splits with Ældste Leland (where you switch companions with another person’s companion), and we went to stake conference. Splits Splits was pretty fantastic. Ældste Leland and I get along really well, we have a lot of the same interests, and we spent the rest of our P-day just playing the piano and singing, it was really hyggeligt. We had a good ol’ time at the church doing that and then we went back to the apartment, I made quesadillas with chicken, probably the best dang quesadillas I’ve ever had. Maybe it was because we were starving, or maybe it was because I am an amazing chef, I guess we will never know!

Kalkun... jooooooo tak

This week has been quite the adventure! It's been pretty tough actually, but I don't mean tough in a bad way, it's been quite fulfilling actually. I've definitely learned to rely on the Lord more this week! Zaki Zaki is this fantastic member! You can tell he just has a drive to learn more and I love it. Hes read the book of mormon, just finished doctrine and covenants and is doing come follow me with us every week. He's just a great guy, and he really has a desire to go on a mission. We've met with him a bunch this week and we watched Prophet of the Restoration and it was super hyggeligt. We got popcorn and everything and just chilled at the church. I'm super excited to see where he goes and I'm praying that he's gonna choose to go on a mission! Jacob Jacob is a super awesome member also, he's a returned missionary from Norway (he's a native Dane) and he makes us food almost every week (if not more). He's also addicted to Pokémon go h

18 Hours

This week also went by like a blur, I swear this transfer went sooooo much quicker than the MTC went. This week was really great, but a ton of traveling (as in over 18 hours in a train/car), so I don’t have a ton of pictures or stuff to talk about, but hopefully I say something inspiring or wise… I guess we will see! 30 Day In The 30 day in, which is basically where we go visit our MTC group at the mission home (which is all the way in København). It was really really refreshing to talk to them and kind of have a break. Præsident said that it was 80% social and 20% spiritual, which wasn’t too far off. It was really good to meet some of the other people in the mission. We drove up with Ældste Ogden and Ældste Laurence (my MTC comp), it was a pretty hyggeligt time. I slept a lot of the way, and then my comp started yelling randomly and it scared the heck out of me haha. We get to the 30 day in, and it’s just a hygge fest, we hang out with all the old bros, talk with them. Everyone was
