The Ausssie's Pretty Cool

Hello everyone! This week has been absolutely a blur. So much has happened so I'm going to try to do my best to tell you all about it!  I absolute love it here. Learning a language, meeting a TON of new people (I think around 600 missionaries just in our Wednesday got here), having pretty good food, it is all great. Eventually, I'll get a format down, but this email is honestly just a shot in the dark hahah. Wednesday was my last day seeing my parents, the goodbye was bitter sweet, and RUSHED, I said goodbye, gave them both hugs, and then had Elder Hughes take me around, to where I've never had more of an out of body experience like that before. It was almost like I was watching my self do everything from a far. I can't explain it, but it was insane. I got my key card, room number, district number. He helped me get my luggage in there and then it was off to class. There I met my companion Elder Laurence, he's a really great and funny guy, he is a very... memey gu

Saved For This Day

Hello everyone! About 10 days until I leave for Denmark! I’m so excited! This week has been a crazy adventure. I got to fast on not fast Sunday, to go to San Francisco, and to have some amazing devotionals.  On Friday, we fasted. As a district we were all struggling with something personally that we felt like we needed a district fast. We felt as though we were at a stopping point in our personal, companion, and district growth. I personally fasted for my companion and our ability to teach alongside one another, as I think I’ve divulged in the past - it’s been me mostly writing the lessons which has been a struggle. My fast worked though! This is kind of out of my timeline story mode thing or whatever, but I fasted for it, and my prayer was answered. I was inspired to tell him that he was in charge of the lesson. That he’s taking the lead whether it’s in Danish or not, and he stepped right up to the plate. Yesterday was probably the most successful time, he lead the lesson, wrote down

His First Great Commandment

This week has been spiritually amazing and uplifting! And I’d like to clear up last week, I got many emails with words of encouragement-  I appreciate them so so much, but I also want to make sure that everyone knows that it was hard, but it was absolutely fantastic. I don’t think I articulated well enough the amazing spirit that is felt here. It is so powerful. The home sickness was a little tough, but overall, I know I’m here for the right reasons, the work is great, and I’m having the time of my life. My emails are to show both the good and the bad I feel, because missionary work is never easy, but it is always possible. There are times that it has been hard - but the MANY times it has been good, it hasn’t just been good - it has been amazing. So I’m here to tell the truth of it, the good, the bad, the ugly, of my mission, but always remember that the Lord’s work has always had opposition.  As early church members trekked across the USA to land where they could become free from pe
